The short version

The unit converter runs entirely in your browser. The numbers you type and the results that are calculated are never sent to any server operated by this site. The only data processing described below relates to advertising cookies and basic traffic measurement via Cloudflare.

What this site does not collect

• No account or sign-up exists, so no username, password, or profile is ever created.
• The values you type, your unit choices and the results are processed locally in your browser and are never transmitted to or stored by this site.

Hosting

This site is hosted on Cloudflare, Inc. (101 Townsend St, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA). Cloudflare may process standard server log data (IP addresses, browser type, page requests) to operate the service. This processing is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in the secure and reliable delivery of the website). See Cloudflare’s Privacy Policy for details.

Cookies and advertising

This site is financed by advertising. Ads are delivered by third-party advertising networks and their partners. Depending on the time and your region, these may include Adsterra, Google AdSense and Media.net. These networks may set cookies or use similar technologies in your browser to show ads, limit how often you see the same ad, prevent fraud and measure ad performance. This can include personalised advertising based on your activity across different websites.

If you visit from the EU, the EEA, the UK, Switzerland or another region with comparable rules, advertising only loads after you click “Accept all” in the cookie banner (legal basis: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and § 25 TDDDG). If you visit from other regions, ads load by default and a notice lets you opt out. You can change your choice at any time via the “Cookie settings” link at the bottom of every page. Analytics

Basic, aggregated traffic statistics may be collected through Cloudflare’s built-in analytics. No personally identifiable information is used for this purpose.

Your rights (GDPR)

If you are in the EEA or UK, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict processing of, and object to the processing of personal data concerning you, as well as the right to data portability. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a competent supervisory authority. Because this site does not require an account, stores none of the values you type, and collects no personal data directly, there is in practice no personal data held about any individual visitor that could be accessed or erased. International transfers

Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) and the advertising networks may process data outside the EU/EEA, including in the USA. Such transfers are based on appropriate safeguards, such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or, where applicable, certification under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 16 and does not knowingly collect personal data from them.

This policy may be updated to reflect legal or service changes. The date at the top of this page will always show the most recent revision.
